When you join LavaLab, you join a family. Quickly forming teams, you will go through an entire semester of rapidly prototyping an idea and transforming that idea into a product that you will pitch to investor judges. Everything from market feasibility to product design and modeling will be taught through this rapid schedule of a structure. We pride ourselves on interdisciplinary instruction.
During certain meetings, we bring in people from the industry to lead a unique workshop for our LavaLab teams ranging from UX and pitch workshops to business and legal advice.
We host dinners on Thursday evenings, exclusive for our LavaLab members, where we invite a successful entrepreneur to share their story. The talks are interesting — often more inspiring than informative. Dinners create a time where LavaLab teams can bond, cowork, and bounce off ideas in an unstructured manner.
From Day 1 of LavaLab, we tell our teams that everything they do should go into perfecting their product to show off at Demo Night, our final showcase where we bring in industry investors, judges, and folk to listen and check out our demos.
